The year 2014, jewelry from the “Nature” collection selected for the Creativity Contest “The Posing Jewel” Oggetti Torino Italy.  https://www.creativityoggetti.it

In 2016 five pieces of the “Nature” collection selected and included in the book: “Art Jewelry Today 4” by Sandra Korinchak and published by   Schiffer PublishingLtd    72 International contemporary jewelry artists are included in that book..

For the “Nature” collection, I’m harvesting elements of nature to make wearable jewelry. Humble natural materials are incorporated in a manner where they pose their pure identity and a new aesthetic. The creative process is an experiment to negate the power of elite or expensive materials and to deny any rational value or social status of luxury. Collecting leaves, pine or magnolia-cones, mushrooms, fibers, bark, human hair, tagua nuts, river rocks, ebony or other exotic woods are incorporated in a manner where they pose their pure identity.
Filigree it is a traditional jewelry making technique using find threads of metal, usually gold or silver for making filigree. My designs for filigree work have been derived from ancient processes, yet the work is created with a distinct contemporary vision. I push the fabrication process to its limits in experimentation with line and form, be they straight and austere or curved and intricate.  Every piece of jewelry in my collection is an experiment and one of a kind.
The art of filigree can only be made by hand. Different small parts are created, then soldered together to build up a wearable sculpture. I use fine and sterling silver and incorporate precious stones, gold, copper, and other metals. Often for a single ring or pendant, I might have to use 100 ft. of wire.
In 2013 three rings from my titanium collection were exhibited at the Beijing International Jewelry Art Exhibition and included in the publication book for the exhibition. Chief editor: Zhan Binghong & deputy editors: Duo Qiang, Hu Jun.
With the “Titanium Jewelry” collection my work was selected for the 30th Anniversary Smithsonian Craft Show at Washington DC April 19-22, 2012

My vision is to exhibit a poetic yet contemporary jewelry, with solid craftsmanship and unique design.
